When a guy has you and gets to keep you without really putting in much effort, your stock inevitably goes down in his mind.

At this point, you may notice that he starts pulling away until he eventually pulls a swift Houdini on you, vanishing into the abyss without even uttering “abracadabra” to give you some warning!

Being a player is something a man wears proudly (if secretly) because he knows he can do something which few other men are able to do: quickly attract and seduce women.

But even so, where is the incentive for a man to do this as opposed to having a relationship?

Chasing multiple women is validation-seeking behaviour; it’s a fundamental craving for attention.

For some people having one person love you is not enough; these people need to draw opinions from a bigger ‘sample size’ just to confirm to themselves again and again that other people are still interested in them.

While guys enjoy the pursuit, they hate it when you act in a way that is deliberately trying to get them to chase you. And to be clear, that is not what I’m talking about here.

I am not saying get him to pursue you by acting unavailable, I’m saying actually be unavailable.

When you have a fulfilling life of your own that exists completely separate from him, you will automatically be seen as having great value.

When your happiness is rooted in all sorts of things, not just him, you will never have to watch what you say or do for fear of coming off as needy because you will never be needy.

MORE: A Guy’s Take on Neediness Now it is worth noting that a lot of women want to know how to make a guy chase them because they want him to pursue her and commit.

If you want to know exactly what makes a man commit and how to make him commit to you (and only you), then take a look at this article here: MORE: 4 Ways To Make Him Commit and Want Only You I met this guy years ago, let’s call him Craig.

Now to women this all sounds ludicrous; they can’t wrap their head around why someone would ever want to be considered a “player”, so I’ve looked to break it down for you.
