Outlook name cache file not updating
Use Cached Exchange Mode but without OABTo always work with the Online Address Book, even when you have Cached Exchange Mode enabled, you can set the following Registry key and value.
Outlook keeps most of your essential data in a PST file, like all your emails.
The autocomplete list that holds the information that pops up when you start typing a name or email address, is stored in a hidden message in newer versions of MS Outlook, and in an NK2 file in 20.
When you start to type an address in a new Outlook email message, a menu drops down listing addresses that you’ve sent a message to in the past – the “auto-complete” list.
You can send most messages by typing a few letters of someone’s name and hitting the Enter key when the right choice appears.
The command for the manual update procedure can be found here: Outlook will automatically download updates only unless the size of the changes is larger than 12.5% (one-eighth) of the total OAB size.
In that case the whole OAB is being downloaded again.
Recovering a user’s auto-complete list can be done at the same time as their Exchange migration or even if they were previously migrated.
Before migration (if the user has been migrated previously skip steps 2, 3, and 4 as they will probably have already typed enough email addresses to create the new Exchange auto-complete file and make sure that Outlook is CLOSED before proceeding): Mon - Fri: 8am to 8pm 204-474-8600 or Walk-In: Fort Garry 123 Fletcher Argue Mon - Fri: 8am to 8pm Bannatyne 230 Neil John Maclean Library Mon - Fri: 8am to pm New!
Key: Note: As Outlook 2010 an Outlook 2013 can connect to multiple Exchange servers in a single mail profile, there is an additional “Offline Address Books” subdirectory which contains folders with GUID references which contain the actual oab-files.Tags: Adult Dating, affair dating, sex dating
